Lately I’ve been hanging out on the Frenchan imageboard. Its a pretty neat place, and once it gets started, could really go somewhere.
I’ve explored the other image board- 4chan, 7chan, 12chan, and they are all kind of slimy. But then again I’m not a gore and porn affectionado. I visited 4chan pretty religiously for about a month, looking at different boards, and basically just poking around. I’ve always left feeling a small pinge of racism, pedophilia, and a bad taste in the back of my mouth.
somehow or another, i stumbled on Frenchan, and haven’t looked back.
while Frenchan has some of the normal offerings of imageboards, it has 3 distinct features:
1st, there is no “random”, no “/b/” or any form of those two words.
2nd, unlike any of the “chans”, there is no forced love for anything japenese. no anime board, no silly cartoon school girls with huge eyes, and giant lizards/robots/mutants are no where to be found.
3rd, Frenchan has extra boards. boards you don’t find anywhere else. art, literature, science are all discussed with out the hatred and animosity that plagued the boards of the other chans.
Frenchan is still growing, so be sure to check it out (but be sure to read the rules). at the moment, i like the /con/ board the best, i post under DeadNed
